I noticed that FoGN is listed on the competition s page but there is no detail. Does anyone know anything further.

Re: July 2014 FOG N tournament Melbourne
Thanks for the responses, that is in fact the battle that I was referring to.
One other point of clarification; when the rules state set up as per normal FoGN rules, I am assuming they mean the defender deploys three units first and then the attacker and so on? Reason being there are some ...

Re: July 2014 FOG N tournament Melbourne
Hello me and my club have been playtesting the various scenarios and have enjoyed them quite a bit as they add flavour and challenge to our games. Last night I played the Burnstein, 1805 scenario and the following questions came up:
- When the scenario states that setup as per normal FoGN rules ...

Re: Russian Cavalry Lists 1812-1815
I am also considering building a 1812 Russian cavalry list, and I wanted to know why most lists I see put Shock Cavalry in small units rather than large? I have 12 bases of Cuirassiers and I am debating whether I should put them into three small or two large units (or some combination thereof making ...

Re: Scenarios??
In July we will run a scenarios based tournament ( you have 2 army lists , 800 & 650 pts ) in Melbourne

Re: a scenario to try ?
I just tried this scenario out on Thursday and it produced a very enjoyable game thank you for submitting it. We went with 12MU deployment rather than the 8MU. The only other modification I would make is for deciding where the divisions come onto the table: 1-2-3 and the player chooses, 4-5-6 it is ...

Re: Keeping FOG N growing
There's a group of about 8 of us at the Central London Wargames Club that play FoGN regularly. I've played two games this month and there is usually a game going on at least once a week. We have introduced some new players at the club to the rules but the same barrier to entry with regard to ...

Re: clarification for artillery
Hello, instead of posting in a new thread I thought I would out here.
I was wondering if horse artillery can limber and move in one step without a CAT for a second move? I was reading through the rules and couldn't find the reference to this.
Thank you

Re: Number of turns
I've played about 6-7 games now and from what I have experienced the first 3-4 turns are spent getting into position and doing the bombardments, this is because in the rules the attacking side has to soften up the defenders and cause disruptions before having a hope of a successful assault. Assaults ...

Re: horse with artillery attachment
Hello,
I wanted to ask a similar question and thought this would be a good place to post it.
1. To clarify from the above, artillery attached to cavalry cannot shoot at long range, but at medium and short range they would fire with 2 dice?
2. My own question, can artillery attached to cavalry ...

Re: cashing in CPs for extra dice
You're right, I read that rule incorrectly, you can do multiple CMT's as long as you don't fail any. Thx for the correction.

Re: cashing in CPs for extra dice
Hello, new player here, one thing I don't understand, in the rules you can use a CP to re-do a CMT that is failed. In this case it doesn't make sense to use the CP to add a dice other than in situations where you only get once chance (ie: to charge home after receiving a "CMT to advance result from ...

Re: Newbie Questions version 564.
Was the Austrian army of 1813 in any worse condition than their allies. It seems as though the Prussians also had to recruit a force quickly and had a large number of landwehr and conscripts. Any justification for making the Austrians unreformed.

Newbie Questions version 564.
Hello,
I played my second game of FoGN last night, my first game was a demo so I didn't really have the chance to get in contact with the rules. I am sure there have been many of these newbie threads but I was hoping to get some help with the following questions:

Summary of Proposed Changes
Is there anywhere to find a summary of proposed changes. I can see each individual thread discusses but is there a summarized list somewhere.
Thanks in advance.
