You run the game in "Fast Play" mode to get the new map, choose a 1939 scenario just and you will now see it looks totally different.

Now I see. In the original map, it is 10 hexes from Berlin to Warsaw. In the fast play it is 6.

1. In the standard game, the German player should always run out of oil in about August 1944. This doesn't matter because the talented player wil have won the war by that date with expensive units :D

The solution is thta in the factory there be an item named "Ersatz Oil"

This gives Germany the chance to produce oil at the expense of other things.

What is the point of having a lot of mods?

For 2 players to play they have to have compatible versions of the game!

More mods means more chance of incompatability.

Games with a lot of mods have fewer H2H players.

I wonder if it is possible to have the game installed twice on my PC.

The first installation would have the vanilla game and the second installation would have this mod.

I ask the question because my current PBEM game is not likley to be complete befroe this mod is released.

I am never happy to play house rules - if it can be done, it can be done. However you never stated what exactly was modded.

You could start a new game, send a file to youre friend, and see if he can open youre file.

I played Commander Europe at War.

A lack of stacking is not an issue and actually improves the game.

In my opinon, CEaW could have been a great game - except for particulair flaws no applicable to Napoleonic warfare

It means the technology level for that unuit type is currently at technology level 3 and the unit itself is also at technology level 3



when my Corps shows 3/4, which upgrade are they missing? Viewing the Labs doesnt seem to tell me anything ...

I understans there is a War in Europe scenario for Advanced tactics.

How does it play compared to 3R and Commander Europe at War?

I always thought in a PBEM game that the Axis have no hope of victory.

The changes above seem to favour the Allies. I don't see a balance in the changes.

Now try playing a PBEM game.

The human Axis player does not have enough troops to defend France.

Normandy took 6 weeks to break out and to contain the allies for 2 turns is about all the German can do.

After that there are few German troops between Normandy and Berlin. In spite of that the ...

I am a little disappointed. There has been talk of another patch for CEaW since November and we have been putting off startig the next game until release.

No, do not agree that in any one area there be a max to the number of labs,

Rather:

- once one area reaches 3 labs, you cannot purchase any more labs in that area untill ALL areas have at least 1 lab

- once one area reaches 4 labs, you cannot purchase any more labs in that area untill ALL areas ...

The AI should be used for learning game mechanics.

I only play games against humans.

I am disappointed that the US and the UK share the same graphics.

I have already suggested a workable solution. When a player, sucha s myself, use the Counters option, EVERY graphic in the game including the purchase screen and the unit info screen, use counters.
