Yes, if it's close to completion a teaser changelog would be great. And another question - will the non-English patches be published at the same time?Ryben wrote:What kind of changes are going to be?
You know, we love to discuss them...before patch release...and long after...
Any surprises on the Mediterranean front?

Not easy to say since Freeverse developed the Mac version. The testing gets tricky since we do not support the Mac platform so have limited resources to test these things out. If anyone could that a tpcip game was working between Mac and PC I would be glad to hear that here. If someone got it working then it might be worthwhile to check the code againBorsook wrote:Talking about the patch - any chance it will allow us PC player to play against Mac players?

Top be honest, I expected it to work between PC and Mac since the porting of code should not have to involve network programming. Can anyone confirm that it does NOT work?

I've no idea about TCP but PBEM does not work. If a player tries to load a save game from a different platform he (or she) gets the message saying something like "the save game was made with an earlier version of CEAW". If it's just some version checking function then maybe it would be possible to sort it out?firepowerjohan wrote:Not easy to say since Freeverse developed the Mac version. It is likely that the text file somehow is stored differently and so is failed from the code trying to read it. But for TcipIP there is a high probability it will work.

We´ll be patient...iainmcneil wrote:There is not a huge amount left to do but some other unannounced stuff has held it up. We can't give you a date yet as we're not sure how long the new other work will take but it should not be too long.
What kind of changes could be expect to be on the patch? something that improves/change the gameplay or just minor tweaks here and there?

The changes are mostly gameplay, bug fixing so it is not like the game will be dramatically different with the patch. The changes will be most noticable for the experienced players

Since it seems that at least a part of the patch is finished couldn't you post for us at least some info from the changelog? We will remember it's WIPfirepowerjohan wrote:The changes are mostly gameplay, bug fixing so it is not like the game will be dramatically different with the patch. I´ll second that changelog or, at least, a part of it.
Would the AI be able to deploy units in Egypt? That would make things interesting in Mediterranean.
Any changes in sub warfare? Either lowering the sub costs or increasing the damage they deal to convoys.
Will the axis defend France and Low countries better? Playing as Axis is a challenge but playing against them is quite easy.
A bit more oil production for Axis? To avoid petrol shortages as soon as 1941.
