If I understand the proposed change correctly, and I may well not, evaders in v 2.0 will run the risk of evading off board on all edges rather than the current baseline only method. This will surely make skirmishing more difficult, which I assume it is intended to do. What about the chargers though ...

Some help please. Suppose a BG of light horse moves into contact with a fortified enemy camp in the maneuver phase. The LH fail to roll a 6.

I've read those pages. I can't see a definitive statement ruling out a "slide" to avoid friends. I can see in bullet number 1 on page 107 that a unit which contacts a friendly BG must halt.
