The game is still unstable on my PC (Windows) and it has not really improved from the base game onwards.

I think, that the scenarios are more and more boring for me, because there is only minor flexibility how to achive the objectives. I have not found this mentioned in the forum, so I am reporting this:

And the solution seems to be (for starting and update download): Renaming the settings folder in ... MY GAMES / OOB-P...
Probably it can be deleted afterwards. Will know it in a few minutes.

Now I de-installed and installed again.
Then, tried to update. For a second I saw version 1.7.0 (?) as an .exe, but then the download failed with an error-message.

And the outcome is still the same: Black screen for at least 2 minutes. Then I interrupted.

I just finished a US scenario of the campaign, but had a "blue screen", when exiting to desktop.
After that, I tried to re-start, but I am getting only a black screen.
Any reasons for this?
The program is not the most stable one, I have to say.

I had a similar issue.
Not a freeze, but the Japanese AI was "thinking", while the red field was completed and no proceed botton on the left could be seen.
After 5 minutes (way too long) I clicked on the game icon in window mode and could proceed. ?????
