15 teams, not at all bad Dave.

Nice to see Bob Aspland taking the plunge. Seems the boot camp made an impression.

BTW I have edited your post to fix your multiple misspellings of Michele's name 8)

900 points, 2 games, see http://www.maws.org.uk for details. Follow the links to Northern DBM league (although it looks like there may well be no DBM this year)

The clueless terry who organises this tournament didn't send me the last list until 10 minutes ago.... ;)

We now have 16 teams :)

Dave (or clueless Terry - who needs friends...) or anyone else who knows. How did this go? Do we have a winner, or anyone scoring 4398 points in the final round stories to share?

First place went to Roger Greenwood and Alistair Moore's Free company
Second to Paul Dawson and Paul Johnson with Ottoman
and third to Robbo and Paul Crozier's Medieval French

Lots of light horse armies were ineffective against massed quality foot archers in the top two armies.

Nah, that will not go to bed for a while and as the Northern league is doubles and 900 points it isn't really a far comparison.

Ascot will be the interesting one, I expect 80 or so FoG entries all into one huge open period so Dominate swarm, shooty light horse and every thing else under the sun will be able to fight it out.

I am willing to bet that Graham Evans, Bruce Brown, Dave Handley and Simon Hall will all finish in the top 10%.

If you are expecting around 80 entries it is quite a bold statement to say that the above four are going to be in the top 8.

I for one am willing to bet they aren't all in the top 8. I don't think they will miss by much, but.....

I think that three of these four in the top 10% (assuming they all enter) is highly likely making it all four means that someone might take a bet.

All we need to do now is decide on the value of the bet.

No, while having either 6 or 7 arm aux, we were cavalry heavy with 3 BGs of arm sup cav and 2 of sup LH bow and an Alan LH ally. The other was packing legionaries and protected aux and I think an Alan ally.
