_[BUG] rev1012 [Gameplay] No deployment phase
I made myself 2x400pts Wars of the Roses armies - Yorkists and Lancastrians - and then chose "Human" for both sides. I often do this type of set-up when I am writing scenarios. I followed the procedure as carefully as I could (I don't think I was overlooking anything) but when I went through to the battlefield there was no deployment phase at all and I was expected to move both armies from the baseline without any prior organisation.
I then made one army human and the other AI and I got a deployment phase for the human army but the AI army was just strung out along the baseline again. I tried to set the same battle up again but neither army got a deployment phase this time.
Has anyone else seen this happen?

Same here. I've tried several VS AI games and all had no setup phase.

This is still not fixed in the new Mac version (v2.3.00.1014).

1. Start a New Game
2. Choose DAG game
3. Pick a random list and map, Start Game (the rest is default)
4. Voilà; first side don't get a deployment phase.

It should pretty much happen in any DAG game then. I'll have a look to see what's going on, and fix it.

Wanted to fix this tonight, but it seems there's nothing needing fixing. I can not reproduce it no matter what I've tried, neither on Win or MacOS, dev or beta builds, standalone or in Unity editor, SP or MP.voskarp wrote:1. Start a New Game

Reading your post again, it looks like you haven't changed the AI side to Human in the new game settings, so it seems that you were actually playing a Human vs AI DAG game. So the AI side will have an automatic deployment, meaning you can't deploy the AI's armies as you would do for your own human side.
Now, in any DAG game the side's order is not fixed, meaning that if the AI' side loses the initiative, then the AI side will have to deploy first, which in turns means that the first side (AIs) will use its automatic deployment. Nothing wrong here.
Can you try making some new DAG games, Human vs Human, Human vs AI and AI vs AI, to check that each time the Human side is getting its manual deployment ,while the AI side uses its automatic deployment, please?
And if you encounter the problem, please send me the game save packs.
