Cohesion Test bugs

After dazzam brought it to my attention, I have been watching Cohesion Test rolls.

+1 The battle group is adjacent to a friendly commander

This only seems to apply to CTs from losing impact/melee and routing friends.

It does NOT seem to apply to CTs from missile fire or rallying.

Is this a bug or a feature?

The +1 should apply in all cases.

How could you tell if you arent getting the +1 for RALLYING a Bg? Rallying happens after the turn ends so i dont think you can see those dice rolls, or can you? I know from experiance choops rally a lot more when adjacent to a leader so something must be working ;)

Checked and the factors do seem to be correct. If you have a screen shot of an issue you can send that would be helpful. Keith

See the pike unit in bottom left of screen tests to rally from being routed and succesfully goes to Fragmented. The inspired gen is next but receives no bonus for being adjacent. Let me know if you can't see the dialogue box in the bottom left and I will try and re-do it.

Thats not a bug Dazzam , although the description in the verbiose rpt is misleading

Rallying is differnt than bonus for testing to see if you LOSE a cohesion level., Rallying is to INCREASE your steadiness

Leaders do not provide any + for being in range for rallying, they have to be adjacent Inspired give +2, troop/field +1

No I tested that as well. For rallying a cohesion level test they got a leader bonus if in range as well. It didn't matter if they were adjacent or not

This one shows one unit routing and he gets the + 1 for the leader being in range but as you can see he is not adjacent. Unfortunately there the change of turn notification has planted itself in the middle of the screen but if you look at the verbose info you will see it must be the only unit routing.

I've done test with both inspired and field gen's and they are treated the same way in terms of adjacent. Inspired get the + 2 for being in range while field get the + 1. Neither get any aditional benefit from being adjacent other than the unit in rear flank + 1

I'm surprised your testing did not confirm this. Two screenshots, 2 MF units are fired on and take and fail cohesion tests.
See in the detail window the +1 for being in command radius, but no +1 for being adjacent.

Yes my testing confirmed the same. Adjacent general had no impact on cohesion test when testing after missile fire..other than being within the radius. Tested generals adjacent and 2 hexes behind and each test got the + 1 for being within radius.

Well, Im quite embarrased here, made a mistake and refered to the manual which appears to have the bonus for rallying and cohesion tests at least partially backwards.... or Im wrong , or there is bugs in the game... I am quite confused!!!!

Can Hexwar please make a simple chart of how it is supposed to be! I now am about to join the "fix the manual now" crowd :shock:
