Field of Glory updated to v1.3.1

Slitherine and Hexwar are pleased to announce the release of an update for Field of Glory that brings the game to v1.3.1 on PC and Mac. To update your game just click the 'Check for Updates' button on the main menu.

Change list for v1.3.1
  • Change: Improved AI selection of terrain density in Storm of Arrows and Immortal Fire.
    Change: Arid terrain can now appear in Immortal Fire battles.
    Add: Validation routine to custom fix impossible weapon combinations e.g. through the scenario editor.
    Add: Improved debug information for charge crash messages.
    Fix: All reported army weapon and points cost errors.
    Fix: Auto fix built into the game engine to avoid invalid battle group weapons and points costs.
    Fix: Mac MP bug preventing users from sending turn updates.
    Fix: Bug in the claim system for dead games, that caused a crash.
    Fix: Bug in DAG that allowed you to manipulate the Min/Max battlegroups purchased.
    Change: It now checks if the game is over before allowing rally checks at the end of a turn.
    Fix: Pursuit bug, units were sometimes moving too far when charging evaders and pursuing.

Auto updater worked perfectly, the slowness of the 1.3.0 download must have been due to volume of traffic over the weekend.

I am delighted with Immortal Fire. The choice of armies is tremendous and the whole game system is maturing nicely. I guess I'm a hopeless fanboy of FoG - I really like both FoW and double moves.

Is this a reversion to how it was pre-1.28??
If so why the flip floppin? :)

The change in 1.2.8 was to fix a bug but had unintended side effects. This is now the way it should be.

Bosporan mid and early lists still broken

It would have been better to include the version of these lists with out the Sarmatian allies than to continue to include the corrupted versions until those are fixed. Hopefully that will occur soon now or the old lists re-issued instead.

Ah ok, so the way it is now is if I reach my bp level during my turn, then hit end turn i could potentially have a unit rally which will keep me in the game?? (ususlly to "lose" a second time worse than the ist :D )
