Ironclad (Magyar 830 - 1049 AD) defeated Trueknight (Byzantine 600-649 AD)

Hard fought battle which ranged over wide areas of the field with the Magyars greater mobility giving them the edge towards the end. Good game.

Oops sorry two results missed! The outcome of this one was 64 - 44 .

Good game. This was a tough fight and the large mobile forces engaged managed to traverse wide areas of the field in the course of the battle and in the end the Magyars advantage in cavalry numbers may have made the difference,

Sorry for the missing this result too (victory clearly went to my head!). The outcome was 64-47

True! it could have ended sooner if the Norman in their 10 days moved from their starting point other then for forming a square on a rough hill on their side!

Well the result here is alot further apart than expected, early on the Sassanid left with the Cataphracts most of the good cavlary wobbled and folded, but picked up a second wind and won through

After some tough skirmishing both sides settled in position. The Soissons didnt fancy assaulting up hill against elephants and massed archers and my opponent wasnt going to be tempted down so an honorable draw.

Aetius (Franks) defeats carpenkm (Arab Conquest) 44-18

After a few redo's on the map, and some posturing with lights/arrows on the final map, the Franks slowly moved forward against the Arabs, when the sides clashed, some of the Arab cavalry buckled on the left, and that started a chain of flanks that severely hurt the Arab army, and couldn't recover from. GG, carpenkm did a good job with the army, the chain charge was just bad luck.

Classical Div B tmac11 v deeter (16/3/23) reminder sent 22/3/23.

I have had a response from deeter who eventually picked up the game on the 28/3/23 we played 2 game turns and I have had no response to my game turn since the 29/3/23 I would therefore like to claim this game as per the tournament rules with only 1day left.

Very tough game where the Franks suffered a chain flank early in the game, but then coming back from a large deficit to tie, and eventually go over (just barely) to win. It came down to the very end, and a few things could have gone differently and Rosedelio could have easily (and deservedly) won. GG and thanks for playing!

Live score is 3-0 to the Carthaginians.

The challenge was posted on 16th Feb. My moves have all been returned within 24 hours, usually much less, however the game is far from complete with 8 turns to go. My opponent on occasion took 6 or 7 days for a move.
There was a lot of manoeuvre before any combat but clearly now there would be some sort of result if the game were played out.
Unfortunately whatever way the outstanding games are adjudicated it will determine the placings in the division.

Aetius (Carthaginians) ties with klayakles (Indo-Greeks) 2-6 (or something like that, can't remember as I don't have the game)


Unfortunately Klayakles had to go on vacation where he could not play anymore, so we left right when lines were about to be hit. There was some skirmishing action, and I believe he was up a few point, but can't remember; a 0-0 is just as well as a few points probably won't make a difference. Anyway, too bad this couldn't have been finished, but RL sometimes takes precedence!^^
