The goal of this mod is to ultimately expand upon the unit lists of every nation in the game that participated in WW2, for use both by players and by custom Scenario and Campaign creators.
This is likely going to be a work in progress for the foreseeable future, as it took quite a bit of time just to get Germany and the Condor Legion's unit rosters filled out and working properly.
Balance is also likely skewed in various ways, as 3 people can only playtest so much on their own, especially with only 1 Faction currently implementing these changes. If you notice units seeming too strong or too weak, feel free to mention it. Continuing that train of thought, feel free to offer opinions and ideas for the Mod, but be aware that suggesting something doesn't necessarily mean we will implement it. On the other hand, nothing stops you from downloading this mod and modding it to your own liking.
A Steam version of the mod is planned, but likely won't be made until the rest of the majors are worked on, at minimum.
You will likely note that equipment such as the Neubaufahrzeug and Sturer Emil that in the base game are only available through special events are now available in the shop, alongside a number of new prototype designs such as the VK 1602 Leopard and Bf 109TL. This is for playtesting purposes, and many of these 'Wunderwaffe' designs will be given the NoPurchase Trait in later builds as they are primarily meant for use in Custom Campaign designs as new options for Event rewards. They do only have a 3 month window of availability in the shop, to still denote that they are, in fact, prototype designs that never actually made it into full production.
Unit models will be picked from existing models on a mixture of best fit while also trying to differentiate one design from another as applicable. While I would love to implement custom models. especially for more unique additions like the BV 141, I have no 3D modelling experience or skill and I'm pretty sure there currently is no way to mod in new unit models. Recommendations for better fitting models are welcomed.
Rough Plan of Order of Implementation
1. Soviet Union
2. Italy and Spain
3. Britain and Commonwealth
4. The Frances
5. Minor Nations
USA, Japan, and any added Pacific minor nations will be slotted into the lineup after Pacific's release.

General Changelog:
Extensive Prestige Cost and Slot Size rebalancing.
New types of equipment available:
- Airborne Equipment: Towed guns, as well as a few tanks, designed to be deployed from aircraft alongside paratroopers.
- Amphibious Vehicles: Unfortunately, seeing as the actual in game Amphibious Trait doesn’t seem to work, these vehicles were only given the River Assault Trait to negate combat penalties from being on a minor river. Did not give BridgeEngineer in order to prevent abuse and to distinguish Amphibious Tanks from Bridgelayer Tanks.
- Command Vehicles are support units, sometimes with no gun/a dummy gun, that trade Overrun for the Leadership and Aiming Assistance Traits. In addition, they have a base Strength of 5 with a modified Slot Cost that should make an Overstrengthed to 10 version cost more slots than regular tanks. Both of these last changes (Plus the lack of Overrun) are intended to prevent players from using purely Command Tanks (The ones with actual guns) instead of their regular versions.
- Infantry Guns: Artillery pieces used mostly for direct fire missions to increase the firepower of infantry units. WW2 was their last hurrah as their role was replaced by armored vehicles, mortars, and portable explosive launchers (grenade launchers, shoulder-launched missiles, etc.). Placed under AT tab instead of Artillery tab since they function very similarly, save for inverted offensive values.
- Mountain Guns: Towed guns designed for use in mountainous terrain, thus given the Alpine Trait.
- Recon Planes which are unarmed but have increased range and spotting, while also receiving the Double Move Trait to give more opportunities for them to apply their recon buff to a target and/or make more use out of their increased movement.
- Recon Fighter and Recon Bombers don’t get the increased reconnaissance abilities of Recon Planes, but are able to engage and attack either other planes or ground targets, depending on if they are a Recon Fighter or Recon Bomber, albeit at reduced effectiveness compared to actual Fighters and Bombers.
Light AT guns and AA guns (less than 5cm) have been given Forced March, and light AT guns also get Close Fighter. This is to give them additional tactical advantages over larger AT and AA guns.
Entrenchment Killer Trait upgraded to stronger versions on larger/later Artillery and Strategic Bombers.
Tankettes have been given the Evasive Trait as a way to provide some useful utility compared to the often superior Light Tanks.
Tanks with multiple guns have been given the Rapid Fire 1.5x Trait to represent said multiple guns. This change was inspired by the Neubaufahrzeug, and affects both multi-turret tanks like the T-28 and Char 2C, and Tanks with a forward mounted main gun plus a smaller turreted gun like the M3 Lee and Char 1B.
