perhaps I can make that happen, ... let's say raping the battleship main battery ability - transforming it to another cavalry with more movement (and more) with a cooldown maybe.
Extended sights and hiding in woods are already done. They are not a low quality infantry anymore.
.. well I have two types of cavalry, riding (combat) and scout. The third is just mounted infantry that's a reverting transport type, with weak combat. Plus the pack mules, pure transport for mountain guns

The spotting points system does not work the same way in OoBWW2 and in PanzerCorps 2:
-In OoBWW2, 2 spotting points = 1 hex
-In PzC 2, 1 spotting point = 1 hex
In PzC2 the Cavalry has 3 spotting points which is equivalent to 6 spotting points in OoBWWII.
Does the Cavalry in your OoBWWII Mod has 6 spotting points

Ah yes, thanks for the warning. I did change, but changed it back. Actually it works like movement points, vs the terrain. Forest have 5 points, so to see through the forest, you need 5 points to see the net hex. I decided it wouldn't be a great idea to see through forest...
A rice paddy cost 1, also the sea cost 1. means 4 point give you a sight range of 4 when on the coast or on a huge rice field...
I have just realized, that the company scale units need sight range too, but that means terrain values also need to be modified - in order to allow greater spotting range on clear, but still won't allow to see through forest or mountain.
Consequence.... company scale must be a separate mod. Sadly.

Hmm can't edit the "staticFire" in version 1.02 or am I missing out on how to do it? I know I can edit the units.csv in OpenOffice calc but isnt it possible in your editor Terminator?
