Ya, take it from me. The first few turns of Barbarossa are absolutely punishing and YOU ARE going to lose a few units and cities. Keep that in mind and when retreat is impossible bleed the Axis as much as you can. But you actually have to lose very very little, and it's more than possible that you can completely insulate all of your major industrial centers from enemy attack. At which point you've PROBABLY won the game as long as you don't botch things up too badly; it's just a matter of grinding, upgrading, and generally managing what you already have as the prestige flows in.

Hello everyone I want to thank Akkula for this beautiful mod. But I have one problem, maybe someone will advise. I play on the difficulty of the General, but the Axis moved in general quite slowly, only by 6 turn they approached the line (Minsk-Kiev-Odessa). And thanks to the active defense, the enemy is almost completely defeated by turn 20 and you can just attack( a couple of moves will still have to defend near Kiev and south of it). I am playing for the second time(before that I took Berlin at the end of 1942 and actively advanced on the other fronts).

The problem is that the AI is too crowded and quickly loses troops, and the recruits are too effective on a wide front. At the same time, we manage to deliver fresh t-34s. 85-mm anti-aircraft guns do not leave any chance for enemy aircraft.

As a result, I do not know how to make the game more interesting( I do not think that the Field Marshal will help(although I will try later). It would be nice to have a couple of scenarios (saves) of a later period of the war. Otherwise, there is only the idea of just doing nothing at all for the first couple of moves, perhaps this will help the AI(If realistically retreating should be much more difficult) I also noticed a couple of units that appeared behind my defense.

I manage to win but really within the "time" limits of the scenario. The hardest part with my method was to keep Leningrad intact. For the other cities, a good distribution of reinforcements is necessary.

I decided to make a small mini mod aimed at a more tragic start to the war. Although I have absolutely no idea how to speed up the German army in the central direction. So far, I've made a couple of small changes:
1)The first 4 moves of the Red Army infantry units have a suppression of 2 units(1 in the south, it is necessary to balance so that Odessa can be held)
2) Tank units initially have only 20 units of fuel(this will not allow them to be actively moved and will delay the Red Army for a while)
3) Oil reserves in Romania are now located in a random cell(radius 1)
4)In the first turn, the weather is only good
These changes are aimed at weakening the Soviet troops

5) Added the Tank Brigade named after him. Of the Stalingrad proletariat, which appears under certain conditions(Just a trifle from me as a Volgograd citizen)
6)213rd Tank Brigade (captured Pz.3) the only brigade in the USSR fully armed with a trophy match (again, a nice little thing)

The last couple of days I've been actively digging into the mod's materials. It turned out to be an interesting and confusing tangle, it is curious that some traces led to the original game and the incompetence of the developers.
So the first thing that needs to be done is the characteristics of the equipment to make 41 years more historic. To do this, you will either have to set similar indicators, or write a small code (macro). This would significantly simplify this part of the work and, most importantly, would be much more transparent and understandable. But to do this, you need to come up with formulas for calculating the characteristics, but everything depends on the coefficients and the formula itself.
For example, ammunition(ammo=projectile count/calibre factor (usually 10(for 75mm shells) or (fuel=power reserve&reliability factor/4 (usually 1(0.8 to 1).


All in all, I tested a couple of mechanics on the test map and it might have made the war a little more varied. But I still want to try to understand the technique first(and there is a lot of it here).
Plus, it would be nice to add a couple of units, but you need to deal with the graphics editor.))
I would like to release this mod before the end of June (at least with a rebalance of equipment and initial scripts)
