Also the fact that some anti air vehicles like the Tunguska or the M6 linebacker can't attack ground targets even though they are equipped with autocannons. Otherwise really loving the mod
As a rule of thumb: in MdC helis, strats and tactical bombers (attack aircraft) cannot attack air targets. Only exception is Su-34 just because it's so awesome little bird =) When it comes to fighters - they usually have fighter loadout and ground-attack loadout (crosshair icon) - GA variants have bonus to HA/SA but only have passive air attack. I.e. they can defend (and protect adjacent planes/units), but cannot attack air targets. Need some time to get used to though

As for air defense... well, yeah, Tunguska, Shilka, Gepard - would have been nice to be able to attack ground units, but it is what it is.

Transport units are not shown here, but all those nations have plenty of them, dont worry.

The next update shall include the biggest grand scenario of the mod so far: "Europe 2021" (165x166):
Image

No need to say that the factions shall be NATO (and allies) vs Russia (and allies).
The work on this one will take a while, there are a lot of things to define and adjust, even some minor nations remain to be added.
For now, I will say the scenario will be playable in multiplayer and singleplayer modes.

I will post more info soon.

Best regards,
Akkula.

That's really nice! Maybe you could also add the BTR-80 to Hungary? (Of course unless already added just not shown here.)
And perhaps the D-20 howitzer as well for artillery? (Not sure if you have this icon though.)

Also on order for Hungary to be delivered in the coming months/few years: 24 Panzerhaubitze 2000, 44 Leopard 2 A7+, and over 200 Lynx AFV. I am sure that the latter is not in your mod yet, but I really like the look of it, it is a real sci-fi looking AFV so I think it would be nice to have it added eventually:

Hi McGuba!,
Sure BTR-80s are part of the Hungarian transport roster:
Image
About the PzH200s, Leopards 2A7 and Lynx I was in doubt to add them or not, cause as you said, they are not delivered yet. But maybe I will add them anyway as non-purchasable units, why not.
(Lynx, on the other hand, it would be a new unit.... hard work ahead 8) )

For now, I am not planning to add nuclear weapons on this initial release of the European scenario, they would a nightmare to the game balance. But who knows, maybe I could try a "nuclear war version" of the scenario, in the future (after all, the mod even has ballistic subs).

I love this mod. And am so excited to play the next update.
If it’s not too much to ask could you please share what countries are planned for each side/ what minor nations you still want to add.
Thank you for all your hard work keeping this game fun after so long.

Hi Shoughie!. Thanks for your encouraging words.

I would say that virtually all European nations shall be playable; of course many of them will be "minor" ones.
More or less, this is the "classification" for all of them:

Major Nations: Russia, UK, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Italy and USA
Medium Nations: Romania, Greece, Georgia, Finland, Belarus
Minor Nations (done): Netherlands, Denmark, Bulgaria, Hungary, South Ossetia, Abzkhazia, Norway, Sweden, Spain (for now), Serbia, Albania.
Minor Nations (not done yet): Bosnia&Herzegovina, Austria, Czech Rep, Belgium, Armenia, Azerbaijan (these last two maybe shall be "medium" nations)

Turkey shall not be included for now.

I will post more info soon.

Best regards,
Akkula.

What I like with such an impressive set of nations, you can make a world War 3, or you can just make local conflicts like Chechnya , Karabakh, Afghanistan and so on !

This new scenario looks already very interesting, as always !

2 things to say about others topics :
- I'm doing again the NATO campaign and I notice what seems to be an error (not a big one). Every hvy. mg. infantry are represented with an initiative of 1, but not the Polish one, with an initiative of 3. As I think you have designed these units to be universaly with an initiative of 1, it can be a little error you forget to modify.
- Do you read your private message ? I send you one few days earlier. I imagine that yes because you replied here about Turkey, but I need to know if you are interested. Sorry to insist.

Hope that the new update will came soon, good work !
