I guess the problem with the ships may be if they have lot of movement points. If the map is large and the ships can move to many hexes the AI has to check every possible moves and it takes time. Especially if there are lots of ships like in you mod. That's why I thought maybe some kind of reduction of the unit scale may help. For example not to represent each and every single ship. In the BE mod only battleships represent actual battleships, but a heavy cruiser unit represents 2 actual heavy cruisers, a light cruiser represents 4 such ships, and a destroyer unit represents 8 destroyers. Submarines represent about 20 actual submarines. Perhaps you could think about something similar to speed up the AI turn.I was testing W@W, ships are main problem. Without AI ships scenario works fine.
