Re: Ever-Green League - 300 BC
I am new to the FOG2 style of plan, though I am familiar with wargames, ladders, tournaments, etc. But at the same time, I do not wish to waste other, more experienced player's time for being an underwhelming opponent.
I have played a handful of games and would like to give multi-player a try. I do not know if I am ready though.....
I have read through the league rules, etc., and find them acceptable, though it is a little grey for me on getting started. If it is recommended that I join a more new player league then I am fine with that as well.
Please let me know your thoughts or sign me up.

Thank you,

So if you've read the rules and are fine with them, and own the required DLC for EGL 300 BC (do you?), then all you need to do is select an army to start with. Which? (Normally that would need to be an army not already in the league table, but since we're now 20 players, there is room for two instances of the same army.) So make your pick freely, from the armies in the fourth post of this thread and present it here. I'll then add you to the league table and you're good to go!

Thank you,
TomYou start at the bottom of the league table, and depending on your success and skills versus the other players you climb upwards or stay at the bottom: no problems.

Re: Ever-Green League - 300 BC
Effective immediately the following three changes to the rules will be implemented
1. All challenges to be posted in this thread as well as sent to the challenged player through PM. However, the challenged player still always to respond to challenge in this thread as a reply to the challenger's post (using the REPLY WITH QUOTE button).
2. No adjustments to force points anymore, i.e., all games will be 1600 FP for challenger and 1600 FP for challenged player.
3. A scoring system allocating points per game will determine the players' places in the table (replacing the direct switching due to game results), applicable on all games not yet concluded (i.e., including future games as well as currently active* games):
If 1-place difference between challenger and challenged player:
+25 for win, -5 for draw, and -20 for loss for lower placed player.
+25 for win, -5 for draw, and -20 for loss for higher placed player.
If 2-place difference between challenger and challenged player:
+30 for win, -5 for draw, and -15 for loss for lower placed player.
+20 for win, -5 for draw, and -25 for loss for higher placed player.
If 3-place difference between challenger and challenged player:
+35 for win, -5 for draw, and -10 for loss for lower placed player.
+15 for win, -5 for draw, and -30 for loss for higher placed player.
Each player will now be allocated a number of points that depends on his current place in the table, with the lowest placed player starting at 0 points and with players above be allocated 10 points per place difference.
Hopefully change #3 above (and possibly #2 as well) will incentivise players to challenge downwards as well.
* I realise this may be unfair to some players, but I have to draw the line somewhere at some point in time and this is after all a league just for fun and not to be taken competitively.

Re: Ever-Green League - 300 BC
Please note that the two players still exchange armies with each other (independent of the game's result); each getting the other player's army.
