It will hide them but how well will they fight after hunkering down in this type of terrain?
Re: Quick Questions Thread on Rules
We know that #men in a unit determines its value in Rout%. Now to my question:
What does an Elephant count for in Rout%? 1 man? 5? 10? How about Cataphracts? Chariots? War Engines?

See rbodleyscott's answer on page 2 of this very thread.
...it is based on the "UnitSize" attribute (NOT the number of men directly, and NOT the cost of the unit) with a +50% adjustment for elephants and mounted troops. You can see the "UnitSize" values in the Squads file...

There are two Squads files, but neither seems to be a textfile. I can´t open them.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 6:30 pmSee rbodleyscott's answer on page 2 of this very thread.

On Obstacles
1. The combat advantage referred to is +25 POA for foot, and nothing else, right?
2. What does overlappers mean?
3. What is the protection that foot gets against cavalry?

Firstly that is not obstacles in general, but specifically ditches. Other obstacles may have different effects.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:52 pm On Obstacles

1) No. Missile Troops get +100 vs Cavalry.
2) That is a fossil from some previous rules which were removed.

If they are mixed foot with 50% having bows and 50% having spears, then they get (100+25)/2=62.5 POA advantage, right?rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 2:54 pmno, +100. There are three kinds of people, those who can count and those who can't.

Question: What is the chance to get a rally attempt without a general?

If routing, and not being pursued or suffering significant shooting, 20% chance of testing per turn. (With -3 modifier for being broken, and any other modifiers for previous losses)
If Fragmented or Disrupted, 40% chace of testing per turn.

Do generals attached to missile units in any way positively affect inflicted casualties? And if yes, where in the game files can I read more about that?
