US against Iraq : so it is either a 1991 or a 2003 scenario (or a fictionnal one).
If it is the 1991 war, you already have units for French and British expeditionary force, but did you plan to add other major member of the coalition like Saudi Arabia ?

I ask but I'm sure that it means yes :lol:

Modern Conflicts is now mainly focused on Europe, going into the Middle East will add new flavor to your mod.

Hundreds of tanks met in a deadly battle, no one was going to give up… July 1943, Prokhorovka? No, January 1981, Khuzestan. It was there that the major tank battle of the Iran-Iraq war unfolded. Excellent aircraft and camouflage but this can really fight either the ACC or the athlete )))

In real combat this masquerade is unnecessary attention that's my humble opinion )

Akkula seems only to start his new scenario, we should let him breath a little bit :D even if I agree, it would be a very interesting scenario (or a long campaign).

Little question here, if it is really a Desert Storm scenario : The coalition was superior in every way (air, intel, tank, equipment,...), how will you balance it ? Will you make a 'fight against the clock' scenario (like the early PC vanilla scenarios) or adding more troops to the iraqi player ?

There will simply be less corrupt Iraqi generals (well, since their place will be taken by the player, then do not worry , you do not take bribes , and the morality in the game itself is not very developed )))

The Iraqi army had near 4000 tanks (or so) and the Coalition's forces fielded near 2000 tanks. The balance can be achieved by "numbers vs quality", not to mention the defensive positions for the Iraqi units near in Kuwait and Irak. The air battle is going to be a hard one, the Allies had massive superiority in terms of numbers and quality, we will see.
Naval action will be limited of course, but it will be there.

Correct, 1991. Historical Grand Scenario, in the vein of South Atlantic 1982: not huge, not small.
Saudi Arabia will be there, although with limited units varieté.

That is not the actual scenario, just a background to showcase those units. Don't worry, iconic stuff will be on the scenario 8)

More info will be disclosed soon :P

The Iraqi infantry company had many different heavy weapons at its disposal, including numerous ATGMs.

Like most other weapons in past years, Saddam spent lavishly on ATGMs such as;

MILAN, made by France, which at the time was one of the best in the world.

In addition, the American air force group included 26 b-52 strategic bombers, 44 f-117A strike aircraft made using Stealth technology, a large number of electronic warfare, AWACS and control aircraft, scouts, air command posts, tanker aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. Marine aviation included 690 aircraft, the main strike force of which was 146 f/A-18 fighter-bombers of the carrier-based aviation and 72-marine corps, as well as 68 f-14 "Tomcat" fighters. The naval aviation forces carried out combat missions in close cooperation and according to common plans with the air force.

83 aircraft were allocated to the British air force, 37 to the French air force. Germany, Italy, Belgium, Qatar also gave a small number of cars.

The Saudi air force included:

89 f-5E fighters;

A distinctive feature of the use of the US air force in this war was their very good intelligence and logistics support. In the interests of the air force operated a powerful satellite grouping. The number of EW aircraft made it possible to reliably blind the Iraqi air defense, while the US air force could fully control the situation in the sky and coordinate its actions with the help of AWACS, reconnaissance and control aircraft. Flying tankers significantly increased the duration and range of combat sorties of attack aircraft, making them refueling in the air. With this provision, tactical fighters and strike aircraft of the United States and its allies could make many hundreds of sorties a day with very high efficiency.

Can't waaaait! =)

ps: since we jumping into variable-sweep wings era here, is it too much trouble to make sweep wing icons for fighters and straight configuration for ground attack variants? Tomcats and Floggers can sure benefit from this. So will do Su-24 (recon configuration from 1.3 for example) and Aardvarks if we'll ever see 'em =)

upd: something like this (sorry, I really suck with graphics)
