Has anyone noticed this? It appears that the animations seem sharper in texture and more vibrant in color. Developers, did you tweak these settings?

I did do some work to tighten the contrast and improve the look of the UI but I don't remember checking it in. The were changes made very early on due to a number of complaints. It seemed to stop the complaints but the results, on my monitor at least, are far worse.
There are a couple of extra CLUTs you can use, in the DATA/GFX folder. The line in CLUT.txt that says CLUT.tga can be renamed to one of the others in that folder. (.tga will still find the .dds files) but the results will vary depending on your monitor and settings.
