Guys I noticed weird things here...
First, all the cavalry units have their rifles on the ground, seemingly not linked to their parent object.
The second... I removed a rider from a cavalry unit, leaving a single horse, thus creating a cavalry scout similarly to the single soldier USMC scout. Both the unit and the animation failed here look. The soldier is missing the pose, and the anim failed to play in a never ending loop wobbling there and back.
Any ideas what can be done here?
Also, how can I reskin stock objects? Do I have to remake the soldier figure from scratch in 3DSmax ??

Well known and documented in multiple threads. But don't ask why it's still there. Cavalry units doesn't seem to be important enough for patching.Admiral_Horthy wrote:First, all the cavalry units have their rifles on the ground, seemingly not linked to their parent object.
Did you adjust the effectsequences.txt file accordingly?Admiral_Horthy wrote:The second... Ahhh and that too. I didn't know... thanks a lot!!!!
I'd bet the first parameter is time sequence in seconds... what's the last two? Numbers of sequential order... maybe... and the second is figure number? 2 means the second figure will fire?

Yeah, sounds about right. Timing, model sequence, and model's weapon points.Admiral_Horthy wrote:Ahhh and that too. I didn't know... thanks a lot!!!!

I've written my findings about that here:

Re: Cavalry graphics
All is fine - at least whatever could be fixed. Apparently, the rider anims are not compatible with riflemen models. I could reproduce the same bug using grenadier anim on a rifleman.
Here you can see a test unit in action...
