AI turn freezing
I've been having issues with the AI bogging down and eventually freezing at the end of its turn. It winds up causing a partial flip to my turn but doesn't allow me to see the current victory conditions screen or unit information. It just shows my flag in the background. This has happened to me in the Boot Camp scenario 3 on turn 6 and also on Kreigsmarine scenario 1 on multiple games now. Turns 13, 14, 16, and 18. I'm using the Steam version of 5.2.0.

Re: AI turn freezing
my advice for now would be,
vga drivers are old Driver Date/Size: 11/3/2015
you have a card and onboard video so make sure your using the card and not onboard, of the game will crash
Realtek High Definition Audio drivers again very old Date and Size: 5/3/2011
Creative SB X-Fi not signed so not fully 100% compatible either, maybe, and i say maybe, as if they haven't fully been tested with window 10 64bit, it may or could cause issues, 12/19/2015

Code: Select all

You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

Re: AI turn freezing
I'm running Windows 10 And the 32 bit V5.2.0 (non-Steam) and having the same issue.
Re: AI turn freezing
I've gone and updated the realtek drivers. The Vid card drivers are current despite their age. As for the Creative SB drivers, I've now removed them as its no longer supported and hasn't really worked right since I installed it. I'll let you know what happens.
Re: AI turn freezing
good luck, hope it works better for you
Re: AI turn freezing
Looks like I'll need to wait for the patch. So far I've only experienced this problem in battles that are mostly naval. I'll play a larger land and air battle to see what happens. The AI bogging down isn't really the right description. This time it seemed to speed right through its turn. It still froze when switching to my turn. Some of my units looked like they had movement points (tokens had color) and some did not (tokens dark). I know everyone is working hard on this. One other thing I forgot to mention, this first happened before I purchased Panzerkrieg so it was happening in the Steam version prior to 5.2.0.
Re: AI turn freezing
So far the first two Burma scenarios ran fine.
Re: AI turn freezing
Looks like 5.2.2 has fixed the issue. Thank you all for your hard work.
Re: AI turn freezing
glad to hear is sorted and fixed so far for you
