About subs:
I have sent German subs to the Mediterranean, but they lose 80% f their strength in the journey
I'm ok with a little loss, but historically the Germans sent a number of subs to the Austrians and I don't think they would have bothered with such a loss rate...
This is an additional argument to reduce their vulnerability to long distance
Also, historically they obtained many successes pretty far into the Atlantic, but in the game once their endurance starts going down, and it goes down fast, they quite toothless

how is the turn when a nation enters war determined? when does it appears on the diplo window ( with the x-y turns indication)? If Influence is played on that nation once the window is there, can it affect the nation still?

Bulgaria entered war while (if I remember well) it was showing 9-11 turns before entry (I used a lot of influence on it, but then the 9-11 thing was confusing as it was already at 100% pro-CP)
btw, maybe the "Cede Transylvania" event should be removed after Bulgaria enters war, so that you cannot bypass the penalty. Maybe.

German subs were dismantled and transported by rail to Austrian ports. You can send PP from Germany to AH using the "Transfer" option so AH can build those subs.Zombo wrote:About subs:

Once additional sub techs are unlocked the maximum value for endurance rises. Any nation will appear on the small diplo tab when it's about 25 turns away from joining the war. When a nation is 9 to 11 turns away from joining it's alignment was at about 2 (for CP) or 98 (for Entente). Okay, thanks for the explanation!
Also, (just to be sure I fully understand ) the "double agent" event mentions "saving" diplo points. Apart from saving points because the current cost of an action is higher than what you have in the pool, is there another reason to "save"points?
btw, any success at implementing "advanced" intelligence options, such as looking at the enemy tech screen or production screens?

DENOUNCE:

Every neutral nation will be checked with a D100 roll (except Italy, Arabia, Berber Tribesmen, Egypt and Red Finland and nations who have already surrendered)
If the roll is equal to or less than the amount of diplo points spent then a further D100 is rolled.
If you are CP then the roll must be higher than the nation's alignment.
If you are Entente then the roll must be lower than the nation's alignment.
If the roll is successful you will gain between 1 and √(number of diplo spent) INFLUENCE on that nation.
If the roll is failed you you will gain between 1 and √(number of diplo spent) INFLUENCE on that nation dived by 2.
A third D100 is rolled against the nations's alignment
If the roll is successful YOUR ENEMY will lose between 1 and √(number of diplo spent) INFLUENCE on that nation (if any)
If the roll is failed YOUR ENEMY will lose between 1 and √(number of diplo spent) INFLUENCE on that nation dived by 2 (if any).
Basically this is a souped-up version of the "Choose none" option on the event choice screen.
Decide yourself if it's useful.
INSURGENCY
Consumes all your diplo points. The more the better the chance for success.
% chance depends on the number of diplo points spent by yourself and the number of diplo points of the enemy alliance and the target nation's morale.
So it's best used on nations that are close to collapsing and low on morale.
You will be shown the % probability before spending points, so you can decide whether it's worth the risk.
Creates 1 collapse point (if applicable) for the target nation and up to (number of diplo spent divided by 10) points loss of morale.
Failure can result in counter-insurgency by the enemy, stabilizing the target nation instead.

ive tried to use insurgency few times vs ai, any time it was over 100% it said something about secret police or whatever agency and most likely failedRobotron wrote: INSURGENCY

I like Destabilize more than Insurgency
Insurgency sounds more like trouble caused by the internal issues, Destabilize feels more like a foreign hostile action

Turn 25...that's November and therefore qualifies for a possible early winter. Okay, I've had enough of that random climate change, will turn it off in V.79 as it really seems to be the troublemaker in MP.

in over like 20 turns while ive concentrated there incredible firepower for such times (3 arties) and destroyed one whole unit, this time second one when i used next 6 fighters + 2 arties on army with lowered efficiency from previous turns - damn good power gaming - and ground attacks of my 3 armies, they were able to destroy german unit which had eff 0 before these three ground attacks and 8/10 men
else i still couldnt do anything more anywhere... i picked up event abadan oil fields i guess (i hope it wasnt turn before) -> map changes instantly
(ottomans were closing to join, but baghad will be mine

i guess it announced german food crisis caused by blockade and some successful intelligence action... what are posibilities? something like decipher/encode, there was a slightly bendered man over the table on a photo (checked photos, but im not sure which one it was...)
zombo, were u using diplo points in something like that?

Possibilities are:
- army code broken
- naval code broken
- tech stealing
- sabotage
- spy events
The event pictures are randomized for each alliance and do not have any connection to the actual result.

You can also copypaste the text from the logfile into the reply box just like text so you don't have to upload the archive (saves some extra clicks).

@nehi: can you remember the actions you took in your last turn? Did you move fleets? If so, where? Did you run into any of Zombo's submarines (if any)?
@both: please elaborate about your state of game since I can't check the savegame. Where are the fronts, where are you fighting? I'm "blind"
