please confirm Friendly Fire

It is 1965 and the US ground war in Vietnam is in full swing. As a US Army commander, wage a counter-insurgency (COIN) war to secure the Ia Drang valley, on the border with Cambodia.

Friendly fire has always been a factor in all wars..I'm reading about the breakout from Normandy and in operation Cobra their carpet bombing killed several hundred men..because the ground commander didn't follow the guidelines for danger close missions. In Vietnam we sometimes had iron fall too close especially if you were away from the firebase and calling it in by grid co-ordinates especially if some idiot made a mistake on the numbers.and sometimes it was requested to be that way..Several times it was necessary for the C.O. to request it on his own position....If artty goofed we would holler "CHECK FIRE!! over and over on a PRC-25 dig down and and pray. But to be realistic I think it good to have it in to make the commander pay attention to details.Sloppy commanders make bad decisions that get people hurt.

To simulate this, that's why the game has been patched with randomness on bombing.
There was alreadys randomness in combats too. It's not chess (even if this game is very conceptual).
