Ok it's working for me now with your solution

But i just want to warn you about a little thing :
I buy the game yesterday and the shop gave me a link to donwload : OrderOfBattle-Pacific-SetupRelease-183.zip
i unzip this and install thinking the version is 1.8.3 and put 1.9.3 patch without working i have the "mono" bug

i desinstall all, clean dir, and try to reinstall but i see at this time in the zip filz the version for mac is 1.8.3 but for windows is 1.5.8 ???????
i patch with 1.8.3 and 1.9.3 and now it's working fine

another thing when i download Battle of britain or another mod/scen the splash tell me connecting in progress all time ( the downloading starting but don't tell ) after the dosnload time the mod/scen was donwloaded without probleme just a message don't refresh or an error in presentation ( it's juste a little thing for improve this marvelous game )

Battle of Britain is a mod and must be installed and downloaded separately.

Ok me and my son down loaded the patch's. And still nothing but a black screen????

Yes all three patch's, and still only a black screen.

You didn't need the three, only the last one.
Anyway delete the folder named "Settings" in the Windows documents folder:
...\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - Pacific
