No there isn't - use what you like.

Most people that I have seen are using green = disrupted, yellow = fragmented, red = broken. But not all. And, as Nik said, it doesn't really matter.

We have been using the very small rubber bands that can be bought at any beauty supply store for @ 100 for $1.
A few dollars worth are enough for any gaming group.

Yellow - disrupted
Red - fragmented
bases misaligned - broken

orange - disordered

normal off white - counting hits temporarily

I originally did not see a need to use different colors to denote disrupted and disordered but was shown that the conditions occur and are relived at different times even if the effects are the same.

White/red/black.

Incidentally, Peterrjohnston a while back mentioned how he tracks cohesion loss during current turn, which I've adopted:

" I've also got into the habit of putting down 2 markers for each type when it happens, then taking one marker off all BGs with two at the very end of the joint action phase. Then I know a BG can be rallied or bolstered next joint action phase; I'd forget when things happened otherwise."

To follow status of BG I intend to put upside down the marker at the end of the jap (in order to not see any more the mark ) and next jap, any BG with a colored marker we can't read the type can be bolster or rally.

I use black for broken, red for fragmented, and a sandy brown for disrupted, all using a really cool ancient looking font. The backgrounds are printed onto laser labels and then stuck onto Floor tiles and cut out. Nice 8)
