We have been using the very small rubber bands that can be bought at any beauty supply store for @ 100 for $1.
A few dollars worth are enough for any gaming group.
Yellow - disrupted
Red - fragmented
bases misaligned - broken
orange - disordered
normal off white - counting hits temporarily
I originally did not see a need to use different colors to denote disrupted and disordered but was shown that the conditions occur and are relived at different times even if the effects are the same.

White/red/black.
Incidentally, Peterrjohnston a while back mentioned how he tracks cohesion loss during current turn, which I've adopted:
" I've also got into the habit of putting down 2 markers for each type when it happens, then taking one marker off all BGs with two at the very end of the joint action phase. Then I know a BG can be rallied or bolstered next joint action phase; I'd forget when things happened otherwise."
