My Poles defeated Blathergut's Ottomans, 5% to 45%.

Blathergut had a flank march heading my way, but they arrived too far to my rear and too late to turn things around, as, once again, the Winged Hussars demonstrated their battlefield superiority. Blathergut wisely attempted to use a large wood on his right to shelter from the Hussars, but the Hajduks kept those troops occupied while the Polish cavalry dominated the open field.

I'll let Bathergut report on the other battle--which did not have such a rosy outcome for me!

Blathergut (Parliament) won (3% I think) vs Hrothgar's Royalists (54% I think).

Pike/shot blocks pushed to the far flank and went through some Royalist cavalry and then the flanks of the pike blocks started to collapse.

According to my records, the following players still have R1 games wrapping up:

deadtorius (2 games)
greyhunter (1 game)
Hrothgar (1 game)
iandavidsmith (2 games)
TheGrayMouser (2 games)
tulius (2 games)

Things seem to be progressing nicely. I'd like to see these games wrapped and be half way through R2 games before I announce the R3 match ups.

Best regards,

John

as the game is full of bug after the last patch, perhaps would it better to stop this tournament?

my matches w Tullius

TGM's Catholic hosts beat the heretical Protesters, tough battle where a catastrophic failure of Tullius' left cavalry flank rapidly changed the battle (one of my cavalry units "crossed the T" and rolled up his line)

meanwhile, the French landsknechts are grappled in close combat w Tullius Swiss blocks,, Theoretically that battle could be over in one or two turns, or another 10!

guillaume -- that's fine.

I'm not going to require that play cease in the Caracole. But if others feel the same way, please inform your opponents of your intention.

For those of you playing ECW -- you should keep flailing away!

not true, the same problem could happen in a ecw game. a pike could catch in a same way a dragon or a detachment ....

The reason I called out ECW is that there aren't many light units in the ECW armies.

So it shouldn't be as big an issue...

Deadtorius Royalists wins Vs Iandavidsmith parliament loss

Iandavidsmith Royalists wins Vs deadtorius Scots Covenanters loss.
Great game Royalists were forced to go for the whole 60% loss to get the win so the Haggis eaters made a good show of standing up to a superior force. Thanks for the games Ian,very enjoyable.
All round 1 games now reported.

However one of my round 2 opponents has not contacted me or picked up the round 2 game I set up a while back. RBS is currently destroying me in both round 2 games
