Re: Pike & Shot Caracole Tournament Thread
All,
Everyone who is still having problems with getting their challenges answered or opponents posting challenges, let me know either by posting here, or PM'ing me.
I'm going to start rearranging the match ups so that players ready to play are matched and players not ready to play are matched.
Everyone should be happy that way...
Best regards,
John

Since you're tracking this, all my games are at least started now. Two are completed, one is a couple turns in, and one is just beginning.

Re: Pike & Shot Caracole Tournament Thread
Dortmund (german protestant 1618-1631) won vs. Deadtorius (catholic league 1619-1632).
A strange and exciting game. I had more firepower provided that I had late tercios, but Deadtorius had veteran units and some big early tercios, so I had to fall back to reduce his men before close combat... then some units began to fail his morale tests when falling back and I thought all was lost, but later I had some victories with the cavalry and also some of his infantry units began to lose heart... and Deadtorius commited a few misclicks, firing instead of moving or charging.
I've enjoyed very much this battle. Thank you, Deadtorius.

TGM had to attack uphill.
Thanks for a good game!

First, one battle result : Greetings 44 Ottoman (40%) loss against Vadim84 Polish (10%)
Cavalry did most of the job, polish cav is from far the best in the game. Both winged hussar and armored Cossack are dynamite.
Second, for cromlechi : challenge accepted, just created one for you. Password = cromlechi

Things are moving along nicely, now. About 14 of 48 Round One games are completed.
I'll probably announce the Round Two match ups as early as mid week.
Best regards,
John

Re: Pike & Shot Caracole Tournament Thread
Both armies were sitting at 58% routed but with 3 early veteran tercios remaining, they were like tiger tanks driving around wherever they wanted to go.
