Thanks for clarifying Alan.AlanCutner wrote:Yes. The Scottish League includes 4 rounds each of 3 games. The entire League counts as a single minor tournament.I also can't work out why you can play 20 games in Scotland and it only counts as 3 competitions. Is it that there's a league that only counts as one, like the flat cap 'n' ferret league?
I think you're missising the point.Ooo look. Sevenoaks to Manchester is futher than Edinburgh or Glasgow to manchester. Can we have a Kent league?
I do understand your point, I think. Which is that Scottish based players have quite a travel barrier to get to many English competitions. if they don't travel outside of Scotland they can only get a ranking of 75. So, for example. if the best UK player were based in Scotland and only played Scottish competitions, they would be ranked 14th.
Not sure what could be done to resolve that though; other than have more tournaments in Scotland. It seems sensible to have scottish rankings, since most scottish players only play in Scottish competitions.
I imagine a similar, but more acute, issue impacts players in Wales and Northern Ireland.
