Order of Battle: Pacific is the first title in a new series of hexagonal strategy games developed by The Artistocrats (www.the-artistocrats.com), designed to cover military history from ancients to modern warfare. The Artistocrats was founded by members of the team who created Panzer Corps.
Sorry for fearmongering! But this announcement hit me with as much surprise as the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and it made me wonder about the future of Panzer Corps.
Where did the Panzer Corps team go? Not that I have any right to know that, I am really not that interested in this question.
But it makes me wonder: Will there be a "Pacific Corps" vs "Order of Battle: Pacific", or will both studios decide to focus on different fronts, will Kerensky and Rudankort still work on Panzer Corps or rather on Order of Battle and all that?
Yeah, I am worried. Panzer Corps and even more so its Grand Campaign and later Allied Corps/Africa Corps not only managed to revive the legendary Panzer General but really surpassed it.
I hope at least the core of the "winning team", there is an old saying you shouldn't change a winning team, is still working on Panzer Corps sequels.
