I've just answered another post similar to this but refered to counter-charges against cavalry that toook hits during the charge.Close range shooting by a unit other than the target of the charge hit on 5.
Question is do the normal POA's for rear or flank shooting apply here? Personally I would like to see it stay at 5's since you are shooting at a fast moving target as it flys past as it were.
Only the target of the charge can hit cavalry on a 4+ ............. All other firing at cavalry is at a 5+
The only exception to this is if the starting position of the assaulting cavalry allows a (non-target) unit to fire on its flank or rear, in which case the firers will receive a +POA.
Infantry assaults are different in that the chargers will normally be hit on a 4+ by ALL firing units unless their starting position is more than 40mm to the side of each the FIRERS (NOT just the target). A + POA wil be gained as above if their starting position give a +POA for flank or rear.
