I'm very pleased with your mod. I finished all that original PC creators had to offer, and now I'm playing your mod. It is great, or even beyond that!
It is quite challanging though. The first Polish missions are everything but the breeze. The maps are enormous, and there are lots of auxiallary units to be handled so it takes a lot of time to finish everything.
But that is what are we looking for aren't we?
On a side note a couple of questions and remarks. First is - how histricaly accurate are Polish scenarios? I was playing Westerplate scenario and I had to battle hard to win barely that one on MV. I failed to DV as there was one fortification left that I coudln't get to. From what I read on Wikipedia about that battle is that there were some 200 Poles and 3500 Germans attacking. Sure Germans had extensive losses, but Poles in this mission had around 5 ships (2 cruisers), 5 aricraft, more than 5 tanks, 3 armoured trains, 3 submarines etc... A little army in itself. Is that historically accurate?
Although I cannot state the value of your effort the second thing that catches the eye is missing city or village names. First mission in Spain had only one missing name. But all Polish missions basically have 90% of the cities unnamed (except the main cities like Warsaw and Danzig). While this is not a big problem and game doesn't suffer because of that - I wonder how hard is to fill in names of these cities (valid map should be enough I guess)?
And one last thing (I'm sure everything I say was mentioned in earlier posts - the problem is there is too many posts to read through). Anyways I realize that your mod is based on original PC game engine. The problem with this is that AI uses cheap tactics to survive. For example it spawns "a circle of death - 2 AA, 2 AT and 2 AR" around it's cities time and time again. This isn't extreme problem in Poland missions but I can imagine the nightmare it can cause in Russia while player races with clock to get a victory. Especially since I'm playing on FM level. Can this be changed somehow to behave like AI in more recent games (AC and AK). In those games there is no spawning of that type and thus player doesn't have to rush his units to the cities in order to win.
For the end I like the idea of small prestige gain per turn. Especially since there is no rule in prestige gained from capturing cities (sometimes I get 30, sometimes 50 or more). A lot of cities earn very little prestige. However it states I should gain 40 PP per turn, but I get ony 24. Is this because of FM difficulty?
