Re: Southern League Southampton Round
If you have no luck with Solent, the Wessex Wargames Society meets every other Saturday and we are based at Colbury on the Southampton side of the New Forest so only about 30-40 mins from Ringwood( depending on traffic). Quite a few of us play FOGAM and FOGR regularly with most FOGR players being ECW/TYW centric but a couple of us oddballs have early C16th armies.

That's great - much appreciated. Would the little room have a white seat and water on tap?

Cheers

Re: Southern League Southampton Round
I really appreciate your willingness to lend me an army, unfortunately I'm not going to be making the day. I hope it goes well, promise of spectacular clashes.
One place up for grabs (or is it two?)
Thanks,
Bevan

Hi Alasdair
I still should make it down for the competition. Just a few things - are the tables 6'x4' and armies are 800pts? Also, when do we need to get payments and lists in?
Cheers

Re: Southern League Southampton Round
Hi Richard,
Yes it is 800pts on a 6' x 4' table but with pre-set terrain
The "3 Rounds a day" events all have pre set terrain. So, the normal set up rules are not followed.
However, initiative is still used as usual and the winner either gets to choose to either (1) move and set up first with the opponent's choosing the table side or (2) choose the table sides but the opponent sets up and moves first.
The terrain is based in proportion on the types allowed by the armies allowed and placed randomly on the morning of the event. Each table is then randomly drawn for you to play on.

Thanks Don. Sounds like fun.
I'm working on 4 possible army choices but can't make my mind up yet. I wonder if 'Enry's Army' will make a re-appearance!
Cheers
