Alasdair,
There are three more from Oxford - Tom, Jerry and me. Book us as coming please. We missed out on London by leaving it too late.

Re: Southern League Southampton Round
Essentially because as my colleague above says they were to scarey and we didn't want everybody ending up with Swiss, a major part of the southern league has been about encouraging new players and different armies

Re: Southern League Southampton Round
If the Swiss were there, then I wouldn't take 'Enery VIII. They walk through me like a knife through butter as I have nothing heavy eneough to take them on. My bow only hit the armoured boys at a -POA and rarely do enough hits to even force a test, let alone knock a figure off and as they are self supporting Kiels, that's a pass on at least an 6 and even a 5with a general (and usually each kiel has a general) plus the re-rolls for being superior!!. Also being determined foot with a 4" move the bow only ever get a max of 2 short range shots - like a pea shooter at a tank!
They're too scary and not much fun to face or play against (and even with!), though they are beatable.

Very beatable if you get Gendarmes to take them from the rear (so to speak)...

There was me thinking this would be a nice quiet event to try my first competition and now it is filling up with scary people who know what they are doing.
