Hi Mike, Good question. Just went back to double check the Rulebook. Yes, the dissolution rule is still there... Section 19.1...k9mike wrote:Don't get it Jon...If you simpley won the map...How is the unit dissolved?? It still had units when game ended, and there was a place to retreat to...Wouldn't it just retreat to Pegasus??
I thought units only got dissolved if they were totally destroyed in the scenario, and or had no where to retreat to.
In Colombelles, Germans hold all five flags at the end of German turn 3. The next turn is Brit turn 2, so no more moves are allowed...
Hmmm... I had completely forgotten about Rule 19.1.iv... If I'd realised that was there, and I'd known what was happening in Hermanville, I would have tried to persuade Granfali to negotiate for 19.1.iv... Doh!GJS Rulebook v1.2 wrote:19-DISSOLUTION
19.1 When a BG is dissolved, [it] temporarily disappears from the strategic map. BG dissolution is performed in four possible cases:
i. the defender or attacker BG does not take any flag
ii. the defender or attacker BG loses all units [on the map]
iii. the [loser] cannot withdraw after the battle
iv. one side decides voluntarily to dissolve a BG (if not isolated)(does not involve additional loss)
