I discovered last night the release version scrambles city/hex name assignments in PC after AK is installed alongside it.
I sent Alex a copy of two DLC scenarios, one pre-AK install and one after for evaluation. If anyone else wants to take a look at it or is experiencing it, let me know.

Probably this is the same problem as this:

Re: Release version and PC - bug with city/hex names
Yes, likely the same.
I thought perhaps it was because I upgraded during a campaign in DLC. I started a fresh one under 1.10 (GC '42) and it was actually worse - the terrain features were in Russian. So besides the names being scrambled, the languages were scrambling, too.
Also, do you understand the situation regarding the new equipment from AK development in PC? I am confused - new equipment that is available as of 1.1.1939 appears - Kradschutzen, Pz.II Flamm. But things that become available later ( e.g., sIG 33 - avail. 11.1941) never appear. Seems odd?

If I am not mistaken this is use of custom names in some scenarios on cyrillic script.Kamerer wrote:...(GC '42) and it was actually worse - the terrain features were in Russian.
This is an effect of excluding certain equipment by theatre. Some equipment from Europe is not in Africa and vice versa.Kamerer wrote: But things that become available later ( e.g., sIG 33 - avail. 11.1941) never appear. Seems odd?

What I meant is indeed a change - I am referring to Vitebsk. Prior to AK install, terrain type, etc. was in English ("Clear," "Forest," etc.). Now it is in Russian after the AK install. I don't think this was intended?uran21 wrote:If I am not mistaken this is use of custom names in some scenarios on cyrillic script.Kamerer wrote:...(GC '42) and it was actually worse - the terrain features were in Russian.
Ok, I was unsure. Boy, I am going to miss the sIG 33! That was the most useful piece of equipment, also kept you from having to use the Sturm.I all the way to '44. I may have to edit that into the Europe theater.uran21 wrote:This is an effect of excluding certain equipment by theatre. Re: Release version and PC - bug with city/hex names
All of DLC42, and only DLC42, has been affected by this. It's a complicated issue, but one we're well aware of, among other issues that have cropped up.
