ERROR in new "Show Messages" Window

I add a screen

1. Header shows HTML tags (Red) This obviously looks pretty provisional
2. InGame Messages should be disabled in Single Player (Yellow) and only display Scenario Briefing and Scenario Messages

HTML tags have been reported.
As for user messages... why? Might be a nice sort of 'in game note pad' or a player can really RP it up and treat it like a journal. If you don't want user messages to show up there, don't type them.

Yes, some people have already mentioned that they liked the new "notepad" option in the messages screen, so I don't see any good reason to remove it.

I think this has been mentioned before, too, but the date stamp would be more immersive if it had the game date rather than the real date. Not sure if time is necessary.

I suspect that in MP the opposite is true - it is more interesting to see opponent's time.

Could MP use real time and SP game time?

Just as an aside, time zones make the time stamp confusing anyway. The order of messages is all I care about personally, being in GMT +10 and most turns for me come from US time zones.

I think thats what disturbed me..seeing the real time breaks a bit the immersion in SP...
A personal preference of course,yet.........

I guess it will be very confusing if the same map is played in SP and MP. In SP all messages will be marked by game time, in MP - by real time. Or do you suggest to mix both when playing an MP map?

Yeah..that be a great thing
Ingame messages always showing ingame date according to its turn (as time continues with each turn) and in MP additionally show real time in brackets after ingame time (only for those messages entered by player of course).
That would preserve higher immersion in SP..especially in scnearios where more ingame messages are used to display info or changing objects...I suppose they are all supposed to show up in that window, are they?

Just my opinion, I would not be in the slightest confused if I was playing the same scenario in both MP and SP, which is unlikely anyway, and had a RT stamp in one and a historical date in the other. I don't need the time stamp anyway - just the order of messages. In honesty, I'm not sure how the time stamp is useful. :)

Then the easiest solution I guess is just not show timestamp at all in SP. ;)

That might be easiest but for historical flavour a date would be nice. Especially if the messages are retained from the beginning of the campaign (are they?).

One day it might be a way to get some AARs if they could be exported, or at least copied and pasted somewhere. One day... :)

noooo... :evil: ...I though immersion was the reason ingame pop up messages have been introduced ..so what value they have if they dont come with some nice date to actually create that immersion
Ingame time for SP...both for MP :mrgreen:
