It would be great to have an area dedicated to the mods created for the game. We can have further subforums with the new forum software but does that really help?
I think what might work is a rating system of some sort. User vote on a mod and give it a rating out of 10. You'd have to set up each mod with its own poll. Then someone collects the data and updates a front page with ratings for every mod. You could rank mods by their ratings and maybe have a new releases section with mods from the last month or so. It could also mention version updates.
It would be a lot of work but I think you guys could handle it.
Ultimately I'd like to offer the ability to download mods in the game UI but this is much further down the line and requires a fair bit of work on the game which Alex just haven't have time for right now.
Are we modders really that fragmented?

I agree. Click here to download GME and understand everything. I wanted to deliver Red Fury. I see from Russia HTTP 404. Where moderators and the topic of fashion?. When the last update?IainMcNeil wrote:It would be great to have an area dedicated to the mods created for the game. I do everything i can for players to be able to play the mod. If there is a problem with the download link, installation of the mod, or whatever you want to ask, please post it in the thread.caca wrote:

What we could do is set up an ftp which the forum moderator has access to and post the files there. This would guarantee the links worked at least.
Re: Are we modders really that fragmented?
That would be great, specially with a count of hits associated, like we have when we upload the files in the forum.IainMcNeil wrote:What we could do is set up an ftp which the forum moderator has access to and post the files there. This would guarantee the links worked at least.
I intend to renew a the mods sticky. But that takes time, and at the moment and probably in the next month, I will not have time enough to perform that.
Also would like to create a standard manual with the installation procedures, like the one El_Condoro makes for his campaigns. I think El_Condoro will be able to help me with that, at least.
His manuals are just perfect.
Re: Are we modders really that fragmented?
I'd like to bring in my 2 Cents just to show that out there are existing other people, not that present in the forum, but very interested in the modding as well. Though this is my very first post, I'm reading the forum posts almost daily and because of the combined efforts of rezaf, el condoro, churchlakecity, nikivdd, rivendarke, the DMP people and many others have been able to gather many maps, units and ideas I'm very grateful for. Although I'd not call myself a real "modder", I'm trying to set up a Mega-Campaign, covering almost every part in WW2, land, air and sea.
Now, what would I wish for in the future? First of all, I'd like the Slitherine Forum to offer free disk space to host maps, scenarios, units and all PzCorps related stuff. This would allow people like myself to contribute also to the forum members, to share their work. Besides that I'd like to have the ability to define in .pzloc file at least one mp3 file to be played during the scenario from the music subfolder. I'm dreaming of listening to Curchills "blood sweat and tears" during one of the France campaign scenarios, to the music of "The longest Day" during the D-Day scenario and so on. I think that should be rather easy to program. But maybe it's only me that is interested in such a feature, so it wouldn't be worth to be implemented.
Panzer Corps is a fantastic game even as it is now. And the modders are making it so much better day by day.
Thanks for all the work you're doing for free
Nils
