But in double ranked for the spears, they would be 4 deep...

They have front rank light spear and bow, rear rank bow. There is no requirement for light spear to be in two ranks (to gain their POA). Only spearmen need to be in two ranks.

I know, but Simpleton was saying they should be 2 deep with spear, and I was commenting that would halve their firepower.. lol

Sorry I was reading POAs for Spearmen and including Lt Spear. So the protected shot and pike are immune to the lt spear POA. Ahh Sooo!
