The Huns are being battered by both the Alammans and the Lombards............while Attila is away taking Honoria out on a date.

batesmotel (Alans) - 34/41
TheGrayMouser (Gepids) - 60/53

Hindered by tepid dice, the more numerous Gepids were unable to envelope and collapse the Alan right flank quickly enough to compensate for the rout of their right flank in the face of armoured Alan lancers. Thanks for the game.

batesmotel (Alans) 6/41
steve-h8 (Alamanni) 57/57

Fightinh on the map with lakes across the middle, the Alamanni were defeated in detail. Tehir Alan allies were ganged up on by the Alans and then the Major portion of the Alans in pursuit of their raitorous breathen captured the Alamanni camp which held the flank of their river line so the Alans forced their way across in a tenacious battle but one with an inevitable outcome. Thanks for the game, Steve.

camlan, i posted a rematch for you...anyway, i think you were right, the early huns look very weak...maybe attila's army is a bit better, having some infantry allies, i guess

as TGM seems to shy to report his own victory, i will announce that his Gepids (33/53) have badly defeated frankpowerful's Lombards (59/56), ending forever the dreams of establishing a lombard empire on the plains of Pannonia...

and here's the table up to now:

frankpowerful played 4 pts 9
graymouser played 3 pts 6
batesmotel played 2 pts 6
steve-8 played 2 points 0
tofman04 played 1 points 0
camlan played 2 points 0

Gepid
40/53
Alamani
64/57

The Alamani heavy foot, (hampered by less than stellar dice) succumbed to repeated lance charges

**the scores should have been lower but yet another camp related bug methinks forced me to take another entire turn despite the fact that Steve was over his Bp level when he ended his last turn... cursed bugs.....

Frankpowerful's Lombards (28/56) beat Batesmotel's Alans (44/44) in a battle i'd prefer not to comment

This ends the Lombard campaign with 4 victories and 1 loss to the Gepids, who are now our respected masters

tofman04 (Early Visigoths) 58/57 vs camlan (Western Huns) 59/51 DRAW

It was a bloody and equilibrated battle, fought hard on both sides and which turned in a mess into the end.
INMHO the lack of valuable cavalry for Visigoths is a drawback for them.
Thanks for a good game to camlan.

Tofman took mercy on the downtrodden Huns. I changed up my OOB for this one and went with a more balanced approach. Also, increased my army points substantially by going the Attila route. Also added a Gepid ally, so more lancer cav. Anyway..........it was a see-saw affair throughout the whole match. Thanks for the game Tofman.
