Legions Triumphant Tournament!

I believe the formula is:
Player 1 % = (Player2Losses / (Player1Losses + Player2Losses))
Player 1 Score = 30 * Player 1 %
Player 2 Score = 30 - Player 1 score.
So in your first round game it would be [36/(9+36)]*30=24. For the second round game, they must not count kills above the limit (i.e. you use 35, not 45 for loses) This would be [35/10+35)]*30=23.33
Player 1 % = (Player2Losses / (Player1Losses + Player2Losses))
Player 1 Score = 30 * Player 1 %
Player 2 Score = 30 - Player 1 score.

Quick question from the other side of the missed round not the 30 + 30 debate
Does missing round 1 or indeed any round mean an automatic elimination from the competition and not just nil points.
I ask as I was away and unable to play my round one game against kilroy - as I posted would be the case - and then appeared as 'scratched'. However this doesn't seem to be a universal approach.
Just asking to be clear how missing a round works for the player who misses.

Hi
I just saw Triarius post about being scratched.
It looks like my opponent in this round cothyso has withdrawn.
Not sure if it is possible to substitute Triarius for cothyso.
I am happy to reset the clock - and try and get in however many turns we can. I understand the finish time is set
I would rather play a few turns than none at all.
cheers, Jon

I've checked it immediately as it became clear to me I can't finish even the games from the first round, and I've rechecked it right now. There's no way to leave the tournament. Under the Join column, I can only see some small green round icons, which are not clickable (and a Join for the SaS tournament I won't join up anyway, due to lack of time and interest in playing medieval setup).

Playing the same opponent
I know I read that you will not play the same player again.
However noticed Blastpop played Petran again.
It looks pretty likely that I will play davouthojo again.
Is this in the rules?
How can this be prevented?

Don't panic, Eric, if the scores stay how they are now, you will have a much easier game against hidde

The scoring is out of wack...again. It shows 0-0 but the numbers should be 11 to me and 19 to batesmotel.
He sounded really fed up with this scenario yesterday when we finished the first game. He didn't send any turn for the second game and I'm
not sure we'll be able to finish that one. I think we only have this evening to do it because of the time difference.
No, I bet I'll be facing pantherboy next round and take a dive down the ladder...

My opponent resigned on turn 1.....I'll try not to take it personally (sniff!)
Can I suggest Slitherine implement before the next competition:
-Some mechanism to discourage casual sign-up and drop out
-Quality control on the scenarios chon - I flagged the issues with Mancetter in the tech forum on the 8th March - there were some wrong images in Indus River too
-Coding to enable withdrawals from the competition
-Coding to prevent the same people playing each other twice
The tournament mechanism is a great feature - with some tweaks we can make it more fun

Demonstration
My resignation was done purely on the grounds of a sort of demonstration against the mechanics of the tournament.
Mainly covered by Chris.
Would love to see a Book/addition/list competition using the improved format.
Just a one off game, using any army from eg SOA, 6 games using the Swiss system.
Would find it even better if you could not customize your army based on your opponents army.
Would also love to see a doubles competition, if the toolset would allow. That is 2 pairs of players in each team again using the improved system. Not sure how it would be possible but 2 armies, 300 pts per army one has to be an ally that is included in teh allies list of main army. Each player will be in control of each army.

Yeap. I played/play in rounds 2 & 3 with the same player, massina_nz.
Cheers
