Legions Triumphant Tournament!

Post by IainMcNeil »

To celebrate the launch of Legions Triumphant we are hosting a tournament!

This is an open tournament with no player limit so we expect it to be a big one!

The tournament starts March 13th and each round lasts 5 days. It has all the fixes from the last tournament so is a new & improved system and promises to be a great experience for all!

http://www.slitherine.com/tournaments/fog_pc

You need Legions Triumphant to take part in this tournament.

Enjoy!

Have new security measures been added in the latest version? Also could I request that any instance of a game crashing and being rebooted automatically be counted as a loss in the tournament regardless of reason. I think all players would be happy to abide by such a condition or notify the opponent that this has happened and give them an option of taking the win or allowing the match to continue.

Cheers,

Steve

Yes there are new security measures. Replaying turns gives you no advantage as all rolls will be the same.

If there's any problem with me joining the tournament still, even after all the new securities Slitherine added for the LTR as promised, I can step out. I have no desire to spoil the fun of the guys, or have the tournament shadowed with other silly accusations like last time. And I'd better get out than still be looked at in any accusing way.

Stay in Cothyso, I need to get my revenge for the last two tournaments when you slaughtered me! :P

Probably you need to activate the LTR pack (just start FoG launcher, press the Serials button and enter your LTR serial).

No, you don't need to reinstall. The latest FoG has all the packs(addons) embedded into it, and only needs serial activation in order to mark them as active.

So, when you start the FoG using its launcher (the shortcut to the FoG.exe file), a popup window appears with the latest news regarding the game, and buttons to launch the game, register and serials. By pressing the Serials button, a new popup windows appears allowing you to activate the packs you've bought by entering the searials for each one of them.

After that, you need to enter the game and press the Multiplayer button in order to log on Slitherine's server and activate the serials in their database too. Then you can register to the tournament.

You can also do this directly from the web site, from your account (you can manually register your serials to your account).

I can vouch for this. I had a recent game turn that wouldn't upload to the server at it's conclusion, which was the first time ever. So the only choice as I saw it was to replay the turn, and I told my opponent so.

And all the dice rolls were exactly the same for each unit(s) involved, and I probably didn't execute the turn in the exactly the same order either. It was a very wierd experience.

Enjoy19th March - !
Iain and possible opponents - apologies I joined the tournament but now have to be away until the 19th March - FoG games not possible.
I should like to remain in and miss only game 1.
If this is not convenient please feel free to remove my entry.

If you have the Matrix version you will need to use the LT installer. We are working on integrating the launchers but not had time to do it yet and from then you will be able to do this in both versions.

Click on the symbol under "Draw/Results".
But your games should appear automatically anyways so you only need to go there to check results.

Pardon my stupidity/ignorance as well but so far I have had one of the LT tournament games come up in my challenges but I am not sure how it got there. How do I initiate the reverse game as well or does the tournament engine do that. I have registered all my serial numbers for all modules incl LT but I can't see any tournament functionality in my screens. Can someone please give me an idiots guide to what I need to do or at least direct me to where the idiots guide has appeared elsewhere in the Forum.

thanks

Both of the games I/m playing v tofman appeared automatically on my current games list. I assume slitherine initiated this for us.

The tournament system is automatic - it generates the challenges for you and ends then when you are out of time. It shoudl be idiot proof :)
