Great news - we know how long we will have to wait! I suspect 2007 will go by very slowly for those of us on the fringes but will seem to last about a week for the team actually putting it together. Good luck guys, and those people with some influence on competitiion organisers see if you can get AOW into lots of them next year.

I'm very excited about this announcement. Brilliant partnership!

Will there also be a partner for providing miniatures to play with the game a la Flames of War? To attract new gamers this is prety much required as talked about elsewhere in this forum.

I think this is a very important topic. In Spain there??s only two or three shops supplying miniatures for historical games. In internet can be easily found (e-minis is located in the town where I was born :D ), but if there??s a try to expand this game, there should be an easy way to find this minis in stores. The problem is that army lists are so different that to complete the catalogue being only a single workshop seems almost impossible. Anyway, I would recomend the develope of some themathic catalogues, if possible, as popular as possible, and close to other type of events. E.g. "300" is going to be released on march. It would be a good chance of expanding hoplite/achaemenid armies, as Wizkids did with Pirates! and "Dead man??s chest" premiere.

O.T. Hey, I??ve been upgraded to milita!

Let me also extend my congratulations. I think that Osprey is an excellent choice for a publishing partner. Keep up the great work!

What will the first ???two companion army list books??? be? Can you tell us how many list books there will be eventually. Do they correspond roughly with the DBM lists?

We are still deciding on the best composition for the lists. What I can tell you is that there will be 2 army list books released with the rules

Hi Ian

This is your old 7th Edition Rival, I never liked DBM or DBMM (closer to DBR) and I believed the rules best suited to me were DBR. I am in the SA National team again and I will play in the DBR section. I am hoping this set of rules will be a lot better more like 7th. I see you have brought back cohesion and generalship this is already a huge step in the right direction. I would like to play test the rules and contribute if I can. I would also like to URGE you to consider ONE SET OF RULES for all periods Ancients, Rennaicance, Napoleonics, WW2 and Ultra Moderns. I am excited and I have returned to the sport I love most WARGAMES.

I have written to JD but so far no response. I would like to play test the rules and mabye I could play a game against you in PE. I look forward to seeing you all again.

Kind Regards
