With that squished in nose hard to say if they can smell much of anything, and then there is the Pug........ :P
Need to find a 28mm company that makes Renaissance dogs now.

Seems there were many famous dogs in the 30YW. Boye allegedly could catch bullets in his mouth, thus preventing his master from getting hit. Looks like I will have to start scouring about for some more dogs, more of my generals should have accompanying canines I think.

How about a BG of poodles? Sort of the Royalist equivalent of those Aztec thingies??

Hmmm...wonder what a poodle leg done over an open fire would taste like??

Hmm, an Islamic based army could name them 'Lambic Jihad'

I am told that dog tastes like beef, but drier and with a tough and stringy texture. Perhaps poodle would be more tender.

You know, if you kill Rupert in battle, some epoxy putty would make a very nice poodle pelt saddle blankets or holster covers for your CinC at the subsequent game . . .

New Research Uncovered about Cromwell!!

Post by Blathergut »

I've discovered a very rare diary, written in Cromwell's own hand. On page 27 of the weathered, faded, wine-stained (??!!??) book, I discovered this hand-drawn illustration of the flag (as mentioned in the text below the drawing) that Cromwell wanted to use as his personal standard but was vetoed by the more humane, animal-lovers amongst his staff:

Oh the sickness of the parliamentarians has been truly shown... hide your poodles..... and your wives and daughters to boot. Looks like the wrong side got its head taken off. I will have to do some research of my own (if I ever get my starter army painted) and hope there is an SPCP (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Poodles) regt about in the lists for the Royalists.

Besides a sick and depraved mind it may be that Blathergut is filled with envy that I have a model of a faithful canine companion and his figures must sit on those large command bases all by themselves. I mean what lead figure wants to be seen on the same base as a sicko who sculpts poodle pelts for his holsters??!!!
