No, no, Nik. We will not go there again lest the 12-year-old (mentally) Gothic horseman comes riding through smiting left and right.

Just a minute! Aren't you the great champion of "let us play the rules as written rather than as intended" cos that's fairest?

Anyway, it was against Hammy....

Certainly, however, that includes reading what is written sensibly, and, indeed, taking into account all the bits that are written and not forcing a perverse reading into the wording. Common sense still applies.

Mind you, even in the really literal days of DBM we didn't play it wholly as written due to applications of common sense - the definition of a group is a good example.

Anyway, it was against Hammy....
Certainly a mitigating point.

*Well now, there goes the comedy neighbourhood. Dave's attempting humour.*

Sorry for having to be blunt about this, Dave, but I'm not sure how good you are at reading between the lines (aka "sensibly"). All comedy requires a straightman. It's a thankless job, but a good straightman will make even a poor comedian look good and a poor straightman will make even a great comedian look feeble. Now here's the news for you, Dave. You are one great straightman (aka self-recti-linearizing for those familiar with the Pentagon's peculiar dialect of American - definitely not a dialect of English).

OMG!!!! Phil and Dave are the same person!!!

I don't know you at all, Phil / Dave. I hardly know myself. However, you do *seem* to be a very funny guy...er, person..er, thing, but that's in good measure due to Dave / Phil setting you up.

For example, your post on another thread....."Dave is not sure what a rectangle is. See other thread", is *spit coffee on the keyboard* funny, but it's only so because of Dave / Phil's countless posts on this thread expounding the virtues of rectangular thingies on the wargames table.

So....what is it about you that I don't know? And, why in the world would I want to "know you that well"?

Only if Madcam's two thoughts are connected....

"You must know how wrong you are..." ....which is pretty presumptious on Madcam's part since you are literally, but insensibly, right.

....and that being in the majority is an indication of being right or wrong. Now, where would democracy be with thinking like that, eh?

I must admit that I don't think I have ever seen or heard Madcam have two thoughts that are even vaguely connected.

That's all that matters :)

You can get help for that, Dave.

In my case, one thing that DOES matter is that I now have this light horseman icon, which means I can now ride with the scourge of the heavy infantry armies. Yee Haw!

I'm not quite sure. I was told once but can't recall clearly. Something about being a "lightweight cissy girl" I think, but it was Phil telling me.

I think I said Dave turned into a Rubber Man. Which may mean something different across the pond
