I hate sounding like a broken record but allowing moves to be taken back because no units in LOS were discovered DOES give the human important knowledge , he now knows where the enemy ISNT.....pipfromslitherine wrote:I guess that if the FOW state doesn't change because of a move, then it would make sense to allow the move to be taken back, as you haven't gained any information.grumblefish wrote:Battle for Wesnoth, a turn based top-down game, programmed the fog of war so that you could take back moves SO LONG AS the unit did not reveal anything obscured by fog. Furthermore, there was an option to not update the fog until you click a button or move a different unit, so that you could always take back your turn (unless you were ambushed).
Those options would be much appreciated here.

For example, I dont know where the enemy is because our lines are seperated by a tree line, I fling a unit over the tree line and I can easily figure out all the hexes that this unit could see, however since the program allows me to take back the move, I now KNOW that there were no units there in those hexes....
