Doubles Games
A friend and I are going to put on a FoG game at the NHMGS ENFILADE convention in May. He has painted 1,000 points of 15mm Romans and wants to use them all! Since he is going to give the whole shooting match to me after ENFILADE, I am not arguing. I see 1000 points is recommended for "15mm doubles games". My question is, aside from just allowing the players on each side to divide up the BGs between themselves, are there any special rules any of you guys use for doubles games?
Thanks, Terry G.

The flank march of doom was a radical attempt to see if we could do something other than line up with near identical armies and hope to get lucky.peterrjohnston wrote:So the flank march of doom was Hammy's idea then?philqw78 wrote:Never listen to Hammy
We did discuss the option, the army was designed with an FC as a sub commander for that very purpose and well the rest is history.
To answe the original question you just split the BGs in whatever way you feel is amicable between the players then blame your partner for everything.

Blame Hammy
Actually, having now received advice from Hammy...you can blame him when things go wrong.

To answer Terry's original point doubles games do not have any special rules, just slightly larger armies. The normal practice is for each player to take responsibility for the BGs on their side of the table, if one crosses over then it's usually easier for the other player to take control.
The level of discussion and interaction within a team will vary according to the skill levels and personalities of the players concerned. It doesn't cause a problem unless one player is clearly doing nothing except slow the game down. Obviously, most teams will not have a Hammy or Dave to blame when things go wrong and will just have to deal with it themselves.

Not really they play 900 points for doubles, I would rather it be 800 points but thats just my idea. What we do is just give each player the troops that they are confident in using. No use giving your partner all the LH if they a)dont like them b) Don't know how to use them.

This suggest that there are people who actually LIKE LH. I ask you, is this really acceptable in polite society?david53 wrote:
