RAR Files?
What is the big deal with RAR files? Doesn't anyone in Europe use zip files? Just curious.....

Are you speaking for WinRar?Tombstone wrote:Windows unzipper can't read the files???JayRaider wrote:There both names for compressing files.
Usually any program which opens one will work on the work too.
I downloaded a RAR extractor, but it's only good for 40 days and then I have to buy it!!
After the 40 days you can still use it.
Yes WinRar was the one that I downloaded. According to the install program there is a 40 day trial period and then you have to purchase a license! Not going to happen for a couple of scenario's?JayRaider wrote:Are you speaking for WinRar?Tombstone wrote:Windows unzipper can't read the files???JayRaider wrote:There both names for compressing files.

You can also use 7zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
It's free and supports all the major compression formats.
