The primary sources that I have read for the Cleomenean War are Polybius' Histories, Plutarch's Life of Cleomenes, and Plutarch's Life of Aratus. He might've gotten a mention in Pausanius' work, but I don't recall.

I have played the scenario and achieved victory commanding the Spartans just for a single point. It was very fun, I enjoyed very much your scenario. I have some technical questions as well.
1) In the Spartan army all the Periokoi are Medium Infantry except for one Heavy Infantry unit, was that intended?
2) Could you make a leader of any unit in the game?

A rar file is like a zip file; you need to extract it first. You can download winrar for free; just do a google search and it should be easy enough to find, it's a very popular programme.grandviceroy wrote:i downloaded the file, moved it to the documents folder, even created a new folder for it in there with the other test scenarios i had designed...but it does not show up when i open up the game and go to custom or new games.
it says it is an rar file -- how do i open that?
in other words, what am i doing wrong?

I'm not sure if you saw it or not, but the latest patch added Spartacus' last battle against Crassus.mbrien wrote:Great Scenario, I managed a win playing the Spartans, the hill helps with the defense. I am looking forward to more scenarios, something from the Servile Wars with Spartacus in the lead?

I have the latest patch and I do not see it, what is the title?grumblefish wrote:I'm not sure if you saw it or not, but the latest patch added Spartacus' last battle against Crassus.mbrien wrote:Great Scenario, I managed a win playing the Spartans, the hill helps with the defense. Thanks Giob, I'll try it out. You might want to make a new thread for it, though, so more people can see it.giob wrote:Here's my scenario for Zama battle(Second Punic War-Hannibal and Scipione).Try to play, and eventual suggestions will be well accepted

It's the last battle on the list, "Silarus River" is the name. I believe I tried it in multiplayer once as Crassus, and lets just say that history did not proceed as expected.mbrien wrote:I have the latest patch and I do not see it, what is the title?grumblefish wrote:I'm not sure if you saw it or not, but the latest patch added Spartacus' last battle against Crassus.mbrien wrote:Great Scenario, I managed a win playing the Spartans, the hill helps with the defense.
