A new wrinkle for me.
Page 56 - 2nd bullet - makes it clear that a flank charge can't qualify as a flank charge if it includes a wheel and starts within 1 MU from the enemy BG being charged.
Unfortunately, that paragraph doesn't state that the same restriction also applies to a rear charge.
The diagram on Page 57 includes reference to the 1 MU wheeling restriction for a BG which will be charging the rear of the enemy BG.
My opponent accepted the diagram. But which is correct?

The rules I believe - certainly if the two are in conflict I will go with the rules unless there is exceptional reason not to (and FWIW IIRC the same question has been asked about FoG:R which doesn't change this bit and Richard said there is no 1MU restriction for rear attacks).

See the errata sheet.

See the index., item:
rear, charging 55-57, 57

Although, to be fair, it is not specific on what exactly distinguishes a rear charge from a flank charge. I think it's fairly obvious in practice though. If you can only hit the rear or flank, it is obvious in either case. If you have the choice of manoevering to hit either rear or flank, you take your pick.

The diagram is corrected in the errata. Go to the Field of Glory home page and download it. It's in the "on the Field of Glory" section. It's on page 1.

On the subject of rear charges. When conforming the rules only allow conforming to the front of an enemy base or an overlap. Does this mean that enemy bases that are not facing rearward cannot be contacted, or do such bases turn to face if contacted? If they turn, would that be limited to bases belonging to the charged BG, or include adjacent BGs which would be contacted by conforming bases?
